Sirach 4:21
Good News Translation
Humility deserves honor and respect, but a low opinion of yourself leads to sin.

For there is a shame that leads to sin, and there is a shame that is glory and favor.

Contemporary English Version
To be ashamed of your sins leads to forgiveness and honor, but some other kinds of shame are sins themselves.

There is a shame heavy with guilt, and a shame that brings glory and respect.
