Sirach 39:17
Good News Translation
No one should ask why things are as they are; these questions will be answered at the right time. He commanded, and the water piled up high, great walls of water arose when he spoke.

New Revised Standard Version
No one can say, ‘What is this?’ or ‘Why is that?’— for at the appointed time all such questions will be answered. At his word the waters stood in a heap, and the reservoirs of water at the word of his mouth.

Contemporary English Version
For now, we must not question what God has done, but he has set a time to explain everything. He created places for all the water, and when he commanded the sea, it piled up like a wall.

New American Bible
At his word the waters become still as in a flask; he had but to speak and the reservoirs were made.
