Sirach 38:27
Good News Translation
It is the same with the artist and the craftsman, who work night and day engraving precious stones, carefully working out new designs. They take great pains to produce a lifelike image, and will work far into the night to finish the work.

So it is with every artisan and master artisan who labors by night as well as by day; those who cut the signets of seals, each is diligent in making a great variety; they set their heart on painting a lifelike image, and they are careful to finish their work.

Contemporary English Version
Who has time to study wisdom? Not artists who carve designs on rings and other jewelry. These artists work with care night and day, making sure each design is different and leaves a perfect pattern when pressed in soft wax.

So doth the smith sitting by the anvil and considering the iron work. The vapour of the fire wasteth his flesh, and he fighteth with the heat of the furnace.
