Sirach 23:18
Good News Translation
The man who is unfaithful to his wife thinks to himself, "No one will ever know. It's dark in here, and no one sees me. I have nothing to worry about. As for the Most High, he won't even notice."

New Revised Standard Version
The one who sins against his marriage bed says to himself, “Who can see me? Darkness surrounds me, the walls hide me, and no one sees me. Why should I worry? The Most High will not remember sins.”

A man unfaithful to his wife says to himself, "It's dark outside, and no one can see me here inside the house. Why worry, anyway? God will forgive me."
