Sirach 21:2
Good News Translation
Avoid sin as if it were a snake. If you get too near, it will sink its teeth into your soul like a lion, and destroy you.

New Revised Standard Version
Flee from sin as from a snake; for if you approach sin, it will bite you. Its teeth are lion’s teeth, and can destroy human lives.

Contemporary English Version
Sin is a deadly snake with lion's fangs. Stay away! If you come close you will be bitten.
