Sirach 19:14
Good News Translation
If you hear that a neighbor has said something he shouldn't, ask him about it. Maybe he didn't say it. If he did, he won't say it again.

New Revised Standard Version
Question a neighbor; perhaps he did not say it; or if he said it, so that he may not repeat it.

Contemporary English Version
If they didn't do it, you will find out, and if they did, they won't do it again.

Admonish your neighbor—he may not have said it; and if he did, that he may not say it again.
