Sirach 19:1
Good News Translation
If you do, you will never get rich; if you don't pay attention to small matters, you will gradually ruin yourself.

New Revised Standard Version
The one who does this will not become rich; one who despises small things will fail little by little.

Contemporary English Version
A worker who is always drunk will never get rich, and people who are careless with small things will gradually slip into poverty.

Whoever does this grows no richer; those who waste the little they have will be stripped bare.
