Sirach 13:11
Good News Translation
Don't pretend to be his equal or trust everything he says. In spite of all of his long and polite conversation, he is testing you.

New Revised Standard Version
Do not try to treat him as an equal, or trust his lengthy conversations; for he will test you by prolonged talk, and while he smiles he will be examining you.

Contemporary English Version
Don't try to be their equal or trust them when they have long talks with you. They are smiling, but you are being tested.

Do not venture to be free with them, do not trust their many words; For by prolonged talk they will test you, and though smiling they will probe you.
