2 Maccabees 8:11
Good News Translation
So he at once sent word to the towns along the coast, informing them that he would be selling Jews for less than a pound of silver each. But he did not know of the judgment that Almighty God had in store for him.

New Revised Standard Version
So he immediately sent to the towns on the seacoast, inviting them to buy Jewish slaves and promising to hand over ninety slaves for a talent, not expecting the judgment from the Almighty that was about to overtake him.

So he decided to charge about ten silver coins for each slave, then he sent news of the sale to the coastal towns. Nicanor did not expect it, but God All-Powerful was about to punish him.
