Good News Translation
For the present I might be able to escape what you could do to me, but whether I live or die, I cannot escape Almighty God.

Even if for the present I would avoid the punishment of mortals, yet whether I live or die I will not escape the hands of the Almighty.

I might escape torture at the hands of humans for now, but even when I am dead, I cannot escape from God All-Powerful!
