Good News Translation
This recommendation was well received by the king and the officers, so Lysias proposed peace terms to the Jews, and they accepted them.

The speech pleased the king and the commanders, and he sent to the Jews an offer of peace, and they accepted it.

Antiochus and his officers liked what Lysias had suggested. So he promised to let the Jews live in peace, and then they left the fortress.
