Good News Translation
Then he called Philip, one of his most trusted advisers, and put him in charge of his whole empire.

Then he called for Philip, one of his Friends, and made him ruler over all his kingdom.

Antiochus told his friend Philip to come near his bed. He put Philip in command of the whole kingdom and gave him his crown, his robe, and his ring. Then he said, "Raise my son, so that he will be ready to rule the kingdom."
