Good News Translation
"No one, priest or people, shall have the legal right to annul any of these decisions, to alter or change any of Simon's orders, to convene any assembly in the country without his permission, or to wear royal robes with the gold shoulder buckle.

New Revised Standard Version
“None of the people or priests shall be permitted to nullify any of these decisions or to oppose what he says, or to convene an assembly in the country without his permission, or to be clothed in purple or put on a gold buckle.

Contemporary English Version
"Our people and our priests must never change any of these orders. They must obey Simon and never hold meetings in the country without first asking him. And none of them may wear purple clothes and a gold buckle, as though they were kings.
