Good News Translation
All the soldiers that Demetrius had dismissed then came to the support of the young king. They defeated Demetrius, and he fled.

All the troops that Demetrius had discharged gathered around him; they fought against Demetrius, and he fled and was routed.

The soldiers that King Demetrius the Second had sent home now sided with Antiochus and Trypho. They attacked Demetrius, forcing him to run for his life.
