STRONGS NT 557: ἀπελεγμός

ἀπελεγμός, ἀπελεγμου, (ἀπελέγχω to convict, expose, refute; ἐλεγμός conviction, refutation, in the Sept. for ἔλεγξις), censure, repudiation of a thing shown to be worthless: ἐλθεῖν εἰς ἀπελεγμόν to be proved to be worthless, to be disesteemed, come into contempt (R. V. disrepute), Acts 19:27. (Not used by secular authors.)
