προθέσμιος, προθεσμία, προθεσμιον (πρό (which see in d. β.) and θεσμός fixed, appointed), set beforehand, appointed or determined beforehand, pre-arranged (Lucian, Nigr. 27); προθεσμία, namely, ἡμέρα, the day previously appointed; universally, the pre-appointed time: Galatians 4:2.
