Μελχισέδεκ (in Josephus, Antiquities 1, 10, 2 Μελχισεδεκης, Μελχισεδεκου), (מַלְכִּי־צֶדֶק, king of righteousness), Melchizedek, king of Salem (see under Σαλήμ) and priest of the most high God, who lived in the days of Abraham: Hebrews 5:6, 10; Hebrews 6:20; Hebrews 7:1, 10f, 15, 17, 21 (R G L); cf.
