3. Contempt of duty.

4. After indolence the impiety which blasphemes.

I. THE OFFICE SUSTAINED, a servant of God.

1. Diversity of talent.

2. Diversity of sphere.

II. THE CHARACTER ATTACHED TO THE DISCHARGE OF THIS OFFICE. "Good and faithful."

1. In a desire to be governed by our Master's will.

2. Love to our Master's service.

3. Diligence in our Master's work.

4. Rejoicing in the Master's triumphs.

III. THE RECOMPENSE BY WHICH THE OFFICE IS TO BE CROWNED. A recompense of —

1. Acknowledgment.

2. Exaltation.

3. Pleasure, "joy of thy Lord."
