Joshua 9:7 The Israelites said to the Hivites, "But perhaps you live near us, so how can we make a treaty with you?"
Joshua 11:3 to the Canaanites in the east and west; to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites and Jebusites in the hill country; and to the Hivites below Hermon in the region of Mizpah.
Joshua 11:19 Except for the Hivites living in Gibeon, not one city made a treaty of peace with the Israelites, who took them all in battle.
Judges 3:2 (he did this only to teach warfare to the descendants of the Israelites who had not had previous battle experience):

1 Samuel 6:16 The five rulers of the Philistines saw all this and then returned that same day to Ekron.
2 Samuel 24:7 Then they went toward the fortress of Tyre and all the towns of the Hivites and Canaanites. Finally, they went on to Beersheba in the Negev of Judah.
