The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The LORD takes vengeance on his foes and vents his wrath against his enemies.2The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD is avenging and wrathful; the LORD takes vengeance on his adversaries and keeps wrath for his enemies.2A jealous and avenging God is the LORD; The LORD is avenging and wrathful. The LORD takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies.2God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.2The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD takes vengeance and is fierce in wrath. 3The LORD is slow to anger but great in power; the LORD will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet.3The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, and the LORD will by no means clear the guilty. His way is in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.3The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, And the LORD will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. In whirlwind and storm is His way, And clouds are the dust beneath His feet.3The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.3The LORD is slow to anger but great in power; the LORD will never leave the guilty unpunished. His path is in the whirlwind and storm, and clouds are the dust beneath His feet.
He rebukes the sea and dries it up; he makes all the rivers run dry. Bashan and Carmel wither and the blossoms of Lebanon fade.4He rebukes the sea and makes it dry; he dries up all the rivers; Bashan and Carmel wither; the bloom of Lebanon withers.4He rebukes the sea and makes it dry; He dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel wither; The blossoms of Lebanon wither.4He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.4He rebukes the sea so that it dries up, and He makes all the rivers run dry. Bashan and Carmel wither; even the flower of Lebanon withers.

The mountains quake before him and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, the world and all who live in it.5The mountains quake before him; the hills melt; the earth heaves before him, the world and all who dwell in it.5Mountains quake because of Him And the hills dissolve; Indeed the earth is upheaved by His presence, The world and all the inhabitants in it.5The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.5The mountains quake before Him, and the hills melt; the earth trembles at His presence-- the world and all who live in it.
Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; the rocks are shattered before him.6Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the heat of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken into pieces by him.6Who can stand before His indignation? Who can endure the burning of His anger? His wrath is poured out like fire And the rocks are broken up by Him.6Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.6Who can withstand His indignation? Who can endure His burning anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, even rocks are shattered before Him.

but with an overwhelming flood he will make an end of Nineveh; he will pursue his foes into the realm of darkness.8But with an overflowing flood he will make a complete end of the adversaries, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.8But with an overflowing flood He will make a complete end of its site, And will pursue His enemies into darkness.8But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.8But He will completely destroy Nineveh with an overwhelming flood, and He will chase His enemies into darkness.
Whatever they plot against the LORD he will bring to an end; trouble will not come a second time.9What do you plot against the LORD? He will make a complete end; trouble will not rise up a second time.9Whatever you devise against the LORD, He will make a complete end of it. Distress will not rise up twice.9What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.9Whatever you plot against the LORD, He will bring it to complete destruction; oppression will not rise up a second time.

They will be entangled among thorns and drunk from their wine; they will be consumed like dry stubble.10For they are like entangled thorns, like drunkards as they drink; they are consumed like stubble fully dried.10Like tangled thorns, And like those who are drunken with their drink, They are consumed As stubble completely withered.10For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.10For they will be consumed like entangled thorns, like the drink of a drunkard and like straw that is fully dry.

Although I have afflicted you, Judah, I will afflict you no more.12Thus says the LORD, “Though they are at full strength and many, they will be cut down and pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.12Thus says the LORD, "Though they are at full strength and likewise many, Even so, they will be cut off and pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no longer.12Thus saith the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.12This is what the LORD says: Though they are strong and numerous, they will still be mowed down, and he will pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no longer.
Now I will break their yoke from your neck and tear your shackles away."13And now I will break his yoke from off you and will burst your bonds apart.”13"So now, I will break his yoke bar from upon you, And I will tear off your shackles."13For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.13For I will now break off his yoke from you and tear off your shackles.
