Levites Exempted

The ancestral tribe of the Levites, however, was not counted along with the others.47But the Levites were not listed along with them by their ancestral tribe.47The Levites, however, were not numbered among them by their fathers' tribe.47But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.47But the Levites were not registered with them by their ancestral tribe.
The LORD had said to Moses:48For the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,48For the LORD had spoken to Moses, saying,48For the LORD had spoken unto Moses, saying,48For the LORD had told Moses: "
"You must not count the tribe of Levi or include them in the census of the other Israelites.49“Only the tribe of Levi you shall not list, and you shall not take a census of them among the people of Israel.49"Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, nor shall you take their census among the sons of Israel.49Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:49Do not register or take a census of the tribe of Levi with the other Israelites.
Instead, appoint the Levites to be in charge of the tabernacle of the covenant law--over all its furnishings and everything belonging to it. They are to carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; they are to take care of it and encamp around it.50But appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They are to carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings, and they shall take care of it and shall camp around the tabernacle.50"But you shall appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all its furnishings and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings, and they shall take care of it; they shall also camp around the tabernacle.50But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.50Appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, all its furnishings, and everything in it. They are to transport the tabernacle and all its articles, take care of it, and camp around it.
NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
Whenever the tabernacle is to move, the Levites are to take it down, and whenever the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall do it. Anyone else who approaches it is to be put to death.51When the tabernacle is to set out, the Levites shall take it down, and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up. And if any outsider comes near, he shall be put to death.51"So when the tabernacle is to set out, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle encamps, the Levites shall set it up. But the layman who comes near shall be put to death.51And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.51Whenever the tabernacle is to move, the Levites are to take it down, and whenever it is to stop at a campsite, the Levites are to set it up. Any unauthorized person who comes near it must be put to death."
The Israelites are to set up their tents by divisions, each of them in their own camp under their standard.52The people of Israel shall pitch their tents by their companies, each man in his own camp and each man by his own standard.52"The sons of Israel shall camp, each man by his own camp, and each man by his own standard, according to their armies.52And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.52The Israelites are to camp by their military divisions, each man with his encampment and under his banner.
The Levites, however, are to set up their tents around the tabernacle of the covenant law so that my wrath will not fall on the Israelite community. The Levites are to be responsible for the care of the tabernacle of the covenant law."53But the Levites shall camp around the tabernacle of the testimony, so that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the people of Israel. And the Levites shall keep guard over the tabernacle of the testimony.”53"But the Levites shall camp around the tabernacle of the testimony, so that there will be no wrath on the congregation of the sons of Israel. So the Levites shall keep charge of the tabernacle of the testimony."53But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.53The Levites are to camp around the tabernacle of the testimony and watch over it, so that no wrath will fall on the Israelite community."
The Israelites did all this just as the LORD commanded Moses.54Thus did the people of Israel; they did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses.54Thus the sons of Israel did; according to all which the LORD had commanded Moses, so they did.54And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.54The Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
