Zechariah 2
Peshitta Holy Bible Translated Par ▾
1And I lifted up my eyes, and I saw a man and a cord of measurement in his hand 2And I said to him: ”Where are you going?” And he said to me, ”I shall measure Jerusalem and I shall see how great its length and how great its width” 3And the Angel who spoke with me went out and another Angel came to meet him 4And he said to him: ”Run and say to that youth: Jerusalem shall inhabit fields from the abundance of the children of men and of domestic animals within her 5And I shall be within her, says LORD JEHOVAH, like a wall of fire, and for glory I shall be within her

6Oh, Oh, flee from the land of the north, says LORD JEHOVAH, because to the four great winds of Heaven I have scattered you, says LORD JEHOVAH! 7Oh Zion, be delivered, inhabitant of the daughter of Babel! 8Because thus says LORD JEHOVAH of Hosts: after the honor he has sent me against the nations that plunder you, and he who touches you touches the pupil of his eye 9Because, behold, I am raising my hand against them, and their works shall be for loot, and you shall know that LORD JEHOVAH of Hosts has sent me 10Sing and rejoice, daughter of Tsion, because, behold, I am coming and I dwell within you, says LORD JEHOVAH 11And the many nations shall accompany LORD JEHOVAH in that day, and they shall be for him a people, and he shall dwell within you, and you shall know that LORD JEHOVAH of Hosts has sent me unto you 12And LORD JEHOVAH shall inherit Yehuda his portion on the land of his holiness, and he shall be pleased again in Jerusalem

13And everybody shall stand in awe from before LORD JEHOVAH who is awakened from the High Place of his holiness
