Psalm 41
Peshitta Holy Bible Translated Par ▾
Blessed is he who regards the poor, for in the day of evil, LORD JEHOVAH will set him free.

LORD JEHOVAH will keep him and will give him life, and will bless him in the Earth and will not hand him over to his enemies.

LORD JEHOVAH will sustain him upon the bed of his afflictions and will change all his bed in his sickness.

I have said, "You are my Lord; have mercy on me and heal my soul, because I have sinned against you.”

My enemies speak evil against me: "But when does he die and his Name perish?"

When they have come to see me, they have been speaking lies and planning evil in their heart; they have been going into the street and talking.

All who hated me whispered against me together and they have conceived evil against me.

They were meditating on a word of evil: "Now that he lies down, he will rise no more.”

Even a man invoking my peace, in whom I trusted, ate my bread, for I trusted in him; he was very treacherous against me.

And you, LORD JEHOVAH, show mercy upon me and raise me up, that I may repay them.

In this I have known that you are pleased with me, because my enemy does not harm me.

But you have supported me in my perfection, and you have established me before you for eternity.

Blessed is LORD JEHOVAH, God of Israel, from eternity and unto eternity. Amen and amen!
